How to become involved:

1. Add your name to our vounteer call list:

2. Participate in one of NCMs on-going volunteer programs:

One-day per week needs:

Maintenance Support: Light maintenance including exhibit repair, lights, equipment upkeep, etc.

Groundskeeper: Lawn mowing and trimming

Garden Support: Seasonal cleanup, planting, weeding and watering

Workshop/Craft Coodinator: Assist museum guests complete crafts, prepare craft packets, etc.

Coffee Connections: Adult Volunteer Program held during the school year most Mondays at 9:00 a.m.

High School: After school program for high school students held on Mondays from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Youth Volunteers (YVs): Summer program for youths ages 10 - 14 years old that assist museum staff one day per week from 1:30 - 4:45 from June 18 thru August 20, 2012.

3. Review the calendar of events by month and contact the museum to sign up for a specific event.


Make a difference in the life of a child.

Being a non-profit organization, the Northwoods Children's Museum
relies on the the help of volunteers to continue to operate.

Every year volunteers work the equivalent of a full-time staff person and
help the museum raise money through events.

A few hours a year can add up for the museum as well as our community.
You'll get to learn new skills, meet a diverse of people and enjoy a
sense of personal achievement.

and details. Volunteers as young as 10 years old are needed and welcome.
