Energy Expedition Exhibit
Giant Light-Bright and Wind Tunnel!
- What kind of energy does our home in the Northwoods use?
- How DOES energy get to my home?
- Does switching to energy efficient options really help the planet?
Just how do we get kids asking these questions AND excited about energy?
Making its debut in August 2014, the Northwoods Children's Museum's new “Energy Expedition” is an interactive exhibit where children learn about what alternative resources can do for the planet. Through play and exploration children will also expand their knowledge about energy and be able to explore answers to questions like those above. The museum hopes to create a fully-immersive, ultraviolet room, complete with hands-on knowledge about how water energy, a wind maze, bicycle turbine, giant pixel palette wall, black light carpet, and glow-in-the-dark toys, all focused on providing lasting, life-long knowledge about energy and how it influences our daily lives.
