Underground Railroad Adventure


Available to Grade 2-Grade 5 field trips September through April.
Recommended minimum age - 7 years

Take a trip back in time to 1863, just prior to Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation to play the role of an escaping slave.
 

The adventure includes;
- working for a plantation master
- escaping from the plantation
- meeting Harriet Tubman
- night travel from safe house to safe house
- recognizing secret codes from the underground railroad
- using onions to throw blood hounds off the trail
- escaping to freedom in the North
- creating a freedom quilt to remember the underground railroad experience
 

Field trip prices for three, four and five star field trips include the adventure.  Ticket prices for public adventures are as follows;
