Preschool Adventures - Wednesdays 9:15 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., September through April


Preschool Adventures is a weekly program meeting Wednesday mornings at the museum designed to promote parent and child interaction.  There are three sets of Preschool Adventures, each nine weeks long.  Cost is $40.00 per Family per set for Museum members and $70.00 per Family per set for non-members.  Members can also sign up for an entire year of the program for $100.  Preschool Adventures is partially funded by a Safe and Stable Families grant.  Sponsored memberships and sponsored adventure funding scholarships may be available, dependent on funding.

Wednesdays, 9:15 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. check in
Session 1 - 9:30-10:30 a.m. program
Session 2 - 10:45-11:45 a.m. program
Note - participation is limited to 10 families per session.

Fall Set - Wide World of Animals
Wednesdays, September 19 through November 14, 2007.  Join us for adventures with jungle and farm animals, bugs, birds, dinosaurs and more!  We will learn about different animals each week through stories, songs, movement and art activities.

Winter Set - Good Enough to Eat
Wednesdays, November 28, December 5 and 12, 2007 AND January 9, 16, 23, 30, February 6 and 13 of 2008.  Have fun with food during the winter weeks!  We will examine pizza, pasta, apples, gingerbread and ice cream.  And tasting will definitely be a part of our active explorations.  YUM! 

Spring Set - Water Wonders
Wednesdays, February 20 through April 16, 2008.  Water is a fascinating, functional part of life.  For children, hardly a day goes by without a first-hand experience with water.  Explore the world of water from snow, ice and rain to ponds, oceans, and puddles.  Activities will include ice cube painting, fishing games, sink and float experiments, and even a pretend car wash! 

Call the museum office at (715) 479-4623 for more information OR stop by during normal business hours to pick up a registration form.  Registration is limited to 10 families per session and is handled on a first come, first served basis.  Payment in advance of participation is required.  Membership must remain active throughout the extent of the class to qualify for the member rate.
